These are the current minimum pay rates under the Aged Care Award 2010 (MA000018), as published by the Fair Work Commission. They set the least an employer can pay someone the award covers. A contract or agreement can pay more, but not less.

Minimum pay rates

Full-time pay runs from $1,055.40 per week ($27.77 per hour) at the entry level up to $1,541.90 per week at the top, across 13 classifications. A few examples:

What else it sets

Penalty rates for weekends, public holidays and overtime.
12 allowances (for example Uniform allowance, Laundry allowance, 2-5 employees).
