Who this agreement covers

Civil construction workforce on CPB's NSW civil engineering Projects (bridges, railways, roads, dams, water/sewerage, wharves, power stations, mine infrastructure) - excluding tunnelling excavation. 7 Civil Worker (CW) classifications with CW3 splitting into Non-Trade and Trade variants. 36-hr ordinary week Mon-Fri with 0.8 hr/day RDO accrual. Day Worker OT: T1.5 first 2 hrs then T2.0 (T2.0 all-OT from 1 Sep 2026). Saturday: T1.5 first 2 hrs, T2.0 after 12pm (T2.0 all-day from 1 Sep 2026). Saturday following Good Friday T2.5.

Minimum pay rates

Full-time pay runs from $1,421.64 per week ($39.49 per hour) at the entry level up to $1,920.96 per week at the top, across 8 classifications. A few examples:

19 allowances (for example Special Productivity Payment ($400-700M project), Leading Hand (10+ persons + sub-contractors), Special Productivity Payment ($100-400M project)).
