Per FWCA decision para [9] (Commissioner Lim, Perth, 2 July 2025, [2025] FWCA 2163, AG2025/1711), the AWU is a bargaining representative that gave notice under s.183 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) seeking to be covered by the Agreement; the organisation is noted as covered under s.201(2). Cl 1 (recitals) records that it is proposed that upon approval of this Agreement by Fair Work Commission the AWU will be party to the Agreement.

Minimum pay rates

Full-time pay runs from $1,165.13 per week ($30.66 per hour) at the entry level up to $1,529.23 per week at the top, across 10 classifications. A few examples:

What else it sets

  • Penalty rates for weekends, public holidays and overtime.
  • 23 allowances (for example Annual Leave Loading, Travelling Allowance (Between Plants), Metro Batching Allowance (Plant <20,000 m3/yr)).
