Who this agreement covers

Covers Recycling Industries Pty Ltd (trading as Alex Fraser) employees engaged in construction-waste recycling, scrap-metal recovery and crushing operations in Victoria. Coverage (clause 1.3): mobile crushing plant operations statewide, and fixed crushing plant / transfer station operations at Kingston Road Clarinda, Cooper Street Epping and Alex Fraser Drive Laverton North. Six classification levels (Level 1 Trainee through Level 5 Leading Hand) on a single Machine Operator pathway. Incorporates the Building and Construction General On-site Award 2020 (clause 1.4) except for the industry-specific redundancy scheme - the Agreement has its own redundancy scale in clause 9.0.

Minimum pay rates

Full-time pay runs from $1,157.86 per week ($30.47 per hour) at the entry level up to $1,599.80 per week at the top, across 6 classifications. A few examples:

What else it sets

  • Penalty rates for weekends, public holidays and overtime.
