Melbourne Theatre Company (MTC) Production and Theatre Service Employees Agreement 2024-2027 covers Production and Back of House staff (stage hands, wardrobe, props, lighting, sound, AV, set construction, scenic artists, stage management) plus Front of House and Ticketing employees at MTC. MTC is a department of the University of Melbourne (ABN 28 302 359 029), operating from Southbank Theatre and MTC HQ in Southbank VIC. Coverage EXCLUDES actors and musicians (separate MEAA agreements). 8 LPA-aligned levels (1-6, 8, 10; Levels 7 and 9 not used) from $25.97/hr (L1 trainee) to $39.69/hr (L10 Stage Manager / Technical Director).

Minimum pay rates

Full-time pay runs from $973.88 per week ($25.97 per hour) at the entry level up to $1,488.38 per week at the top, across 14 classifications. A few examples:
